Resistance bridge calibrator

Not our technology. Our production engineering, and a laboratory capability we had to build to do it.

Our role in the ARBC is production engineering and manufacture; the underlying technology was developed at the Measurement Standards Laboratory of New Zealand.

The technology was developed at the Measurement Standards Laboratory of New Zealand, by a team led by Rod White, their Head of Temperature Standards. It is licensed to Isotech, and our part is the production engineering and manufacture.

That still asked something of us. Building these to specification meant extending what our own laboratory could do: measuring resistances at the nano-ohm level, measuring leakage at the tera-ohm level, and holding our standards to within a few millikelvin over many hours, which we do using Isotech’s own resistor maintenance baths. The capability we built to manufacture somebody else’s design has been useful on everything since.
