Metrosol and Isotech.
Isothermal Technology Ltd (Isotech) owns Metrosol Limited. Metrosol continues to operate with its own staff, while working closely with Isotech. The relationship between the two companies is outlined below.
Twenty years, then a purchase
We first started working with Isotech in 2004, on the microK precision thermometry bridge. We have collaborated on precision instrumentation ever since, through the milliK, the scanners and the resistance bridge calibrator, and most recently the second-generation microK². On 2 April 2026 Isothermal Technology acquired Metrosol Limited.
Metrosol remains in the same building, with its own staff, continuing its design and research work. The acquisition brought that capability into the Isotech group.

How the work is divided
The two companies work closely together, but their roles are distinct. Metrosol leads the research, measurement science and technical development; Isotech provides the commercial route to market, calibration, distribution and worldwide support.

The ownership changed more than the working relationship.
Metrosol Limited remains a separate operating company within the Isotech group, employing its own staff and continuing its existing work.
The distinction is simple. If you want to buy, calibrate or obtain support for a microK², milliK or another Isotech instrument, speak to Isotech. If you want to discuss the measurement science, a new application, or a problem that conventional thermometry does not solve well, speak to Metrosol.
